The Stomach Vacuum is an exercise that can take inches off your waistline. And you can even do it sitting behind your desk at work or while watching the TV. I try and remember to do it while I'm waiting for the kettle to boil.
How to perform
Stand or sit upright, put your hands on your hips and exhale all the air out of your lungs. Expand your chest, and bring your stomach in as much as possible, and hold for 10 seconds. Repeat three times.

Tip:
If you can’t hold continuously then try in bouts of 5 seconds at a time and gradually increase.
