Flat Tummy Holidays

Don't get me wrong, holidays are for treats and having a great time, whether you love to chill out with a book and a cocktail by the pool, spend a week camping and cooking sausages on the gas stove in the countryside or go on a culinary and cultural expedition of a city or country. Holidays are also the perfect time to really enjoy being healthy - so that we come back revitalised and keen to keep that energised feeling. Here are 10 Flat Tummy Club tips for a healthy and indulgent holiday:
  1. Ask in restaurants for the local, seasonal specialities. These will often be the freshest, healthy ingredients.
  2. If you are by the beach or pool then swimming is great exercise and invigorating. If you're camping or on a city break then you'll likely find you do lots of walking - again this is really healthy.
  3. Start the day with fresh fruit.
  4. Treat yourself to a spa treatment or take some lovely spa products with you.
  5. Give yourself 10 minutes a day for a mini yoga or Pilates programme.
  6. Chill out and unwind. Our stressful lives so often lead to putting healthy living on the backburner.
  7. If you are flying and don't want to arrive bloated or constipates drink lots of water, linden flowers tea and steer clear of the bacon baguettes. (and if you do tend to get constipated when you travel try simply eating a couple of squares of dark chocolate every day...)
  8. Go for a stroll after dinner... in your Beech Sandals.
  9. Nourish your mind with books and culture. Thinking make us healthy.
  10. Share dessert!
